da Gama Textile Plant, Eastern Cape IPSA proposes to build an 80 MW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant to provided steam and electricity for Da Gama's new Textile plant in the Eastern Cape. This 80 MW will be based on two generating blocks of 40 MW each. The CHP Plant will run on clean coal technology using Elitheni coal, which IPSA has exclusive first right to. IPSA has completed the pre-feasibility study for and has initiated the environmental impact assessment report. It is expected that the plant will take 36 months to construct. |
